So, January, and those pesky resolutions. Hmph.
We are still on track with our dietary changes and I'm still on track with my decluttering project, so that's good. The 3 day weekend was a challenge in the snacking department, but overall we handled it pretty well. The best news about all of this is:
We are not lushes!
Since we decided to give our livers a rest during January, we haven't had a drop of alcohol. I was worried that it would be difficult, but thankfully, we are not yet addicted. There have been a couple of times when we struggled, but we didn't cave in and I'm happy for both of us.
That being said, I'm looking forward to February!

I've always considered myself a functioning alcoholic and seriously thought I was addicted to the stuff, but I too have been abstaining since November and find it pretty easy.
I guess it's more of a psychological addiction than a physical one, which makes it a little easier to get away from. I had the same problem with pot. But that was really easy to stop. Anyone who claims marijuana is a physical addiction never smoked the stuff on a regular basis.
I do find myself yearning for a glass of wine but I also like walking around with a clear head too.
Kudos on being an unlush.
I could live without booze...but would jones if I didn't have my cup of coffee every morning.
I'm drinking eb's wine...no, just kidding. I'm not abstaining, but I don't drink much (never did, really)--now,mostly because it's part of my trim the fat (literally & figuratively--cutting expenses) campaign.
Yay to you two!
